Performance Opportunities

Playing with and for others is a valuable motivational tool. Students quickly learn to be comfortable performing since it is a continuing experience throughout the year.

They play in the following events:

October:   Playathon. Students obtain pledges for the number of pieces they perform.
December:   Holiday Concert. Suzuki repertoire and holiday pieces of the students’ choosing.
January:   Solo Recitals. Six concerts at the school over a weekend. Students receive awards for the Listening Contest, Twinkle Certificates, and Piano Guild participation.
March:   Students perform piano solos and a string “play down” at the Annual Fundraising Event.
May:   Solo Recitals at The Evergreens Recital Hall, and a Group and Ensemble Concert, also at The Evergreens. Piano students also participate in the Piano Guild adjudication event.
